Burn Out and Justice Doing with Dan Mei Kaplan - REPLAY

from A$0.00

For health & community workers and others doing care

Welcome to Country provided by Metro Local Aboriginal Land Council
Embodiment exercises for dropping in and closing provided by Stella Topaz.
Auslan Interpreted event

This session will unpack burnout through an anti-oppressive, intersectional, decolonizing lens, especially as it relates to folks with multiple intersections of marginalised identities in the context of therapeutic work. We'll explore how white supremacist, colonial & capitalist ideals show up and reinforce cycles of spiritual pain and burnout, and the impacts on our mental health and sustainability. We'll then explore what justice-doing can look like on an individual and community level, drawing on practices developed by Sekneh Hammoud Beckett and Vikki Reynolds, including solidarity teams and acts of resistance.

Sliding scale $0-$50

Profits from this replay will go to the Pay it Forward Fund to provide treatments to historically excluded folks in financial hardship.

Upon purchase you will receive an email a link to the replay as well as accompanying resources.
