Accessibility and Location

LOCATION:

EBM works out of Sunrise Pelvic Physiotherapy

Level 1, Unit 12/2a Gladstone St, Newtown NSW

The entrance is on the Wilford St side of the building (not on Gladstone St) right next to Young Henry’s Brewery.

The building is a mix of apartments and commercial suites and as such does not have signage or a shopfront. Look for the mailboxes and the sign that says, “commercial suites 11-15”. Enter this door and jump straight into the lift up to level 1, turn left and walk all the way to the end.

You are able to enter the building during business hours, but if you arrive after 5pm you will need to buzz unit 12 and we will let you up.

I should be available to greet you when you arrive. I will send you a confirmation text on the morning of your appointment and you can call or message me if you're lost.

Sunrise have made this video with closed captions on how to find the entrance.

Public transport

Sunrise is 500m walk from Newtown train station or 230m walk from Enmore Road bus stops.

Treatment room:

Treatment rooms have electric tables with a working weight of approximately 250kg and can be lowered and raised for getting on and off as well as raising the upper body for semi-inclined positioning.

Rooms are large with a sitting area for consultation prior hands-on work. The consultation chairs inside the room are standard size and have semi raised arms on them. If this is inappropriate for you, I will arrange the treatment table to be used as a bench seat for our consultation.

Airconditioning available

Scents

A scent diffuser is used in the waiting room on days when I am not working. HEPA filters are used within treatment space are effective in keeping rooms as scent free as possible. Having said this, I use coconut oil and the strength of the smell varies depending on batch. Alternate oils available on request.

Bathrooms:

Sunrise has one internal all gender accessible bathroom with wash basin and grab rails around the toilet.

Waiting area:

Large, open with dimmed lighting.

There is a kitchenette for water and tea before or after your appointment.

There is no receptionist at Sunrise so I will greet you and see you off.

My appointments are structured so I should be available when you arrive, however if I am running substantially late, I will send you a message to let you know but you are more than welcome to come and wait if you want.

There are 2 treatment rooms so you may encounter another practitioner or another client while you wait. Often sunrise patients may have their partners or infants with them in the waiting area.

The seats in the waiting room also have arms on them.

COVID-19

Sunrise Pelvic Physio does not have a masking policy.

You should assume when entering the space no one in communal spaces will be masking. If you feel comfortable being unmasked in the waiting rooms you may do so.

You will still be asked to wear a mask when you enter the treatment room for an EBM session (unless negotiated for health or accessibility reasons).
